ENTRY CLOSING DATE: 14th August

The main event is aimed at U11 to U17s and offers a variety of events on the timetable. In addition to these, we offer a pole vault open competition for all other age groups and the following two memorial handicap races:

David Wood Handicap Sprint
This event is for U20 and Senior Athletes and the 100m is handicapped with a backmarker starting on scratch (100m) and all other athletes running shorter distances based on PBs

David Candlish Handicap Mile
This event is for U17, U20 and Senior Athletes and all athletes run the full 1500m, but are set off at staggered times based on PBs. There are rumblings this year that this may be of interest to quite a few Vets and we hope to see a great race from all ages.

Both handicap races win a large trophy which is engraved each year with the winning athlete.

In the U11-U17 events trophies are awarded to the top three places. In addition to the individual events, we are also offering in the U11 age group the chance to win for the first time a “multi-event” award, with the SATs points scoring system being used for all athletes who enter a run (either 100 or 800), jump (long jump) and throw (shot putt).
