As you will know , Fife Leisure Trust will be starting to take Direct Debits from Nov 1st for existing FSLT members.
HOWEVER due to covid regulations and management both DTFC and PAAC are both hiring the centre for training nights with athletes paying the club. This has been fine as long as athletes were not also paying FSLT thru the direct debit as they would be double paying.

Both clubs have been negotiating a new fee structure for an “Athletics Membership” to allow athletes to continue with the extra perks of the FSLT membership whilst paying the club directly. This negotiation is unfortunately still continuing and is unlikely to be resilved until after xmas due to FSLT workload getting centres back in use.

THEREFORE
DTFC have taken the decision to ask members to cancel their FSLT direct debit. IT IS IMPORTANT YOU DO THIS ASAP !
You can cancel your direct debit through your banks online banking.

Members have currently paid track fees up until 31 Oct using the online shop method. This been an adequate method for short term use but has been proving difficult to manage and hard to keep track of payments. and those training.
THEREFORE
The club has decided to run the track fees via a monthly direct debit of £20/month. This will provide an available 8 sessions a month for £20 or £2.50/session.
If athletes train less than optimum and attend only 5 sessions a month then they would be paying the equivalent of £4/session which is slightly less than the centres’ pay as you go price.
WE WILL ADVISE IN DUE COURSE THE PROCESS FOR SIGNING UP TO THE DUNFERMLINE TRACK AND FIELD DIRECT DEBIT WHICH WILL START IN NOVEMBER TO COVER TRACK FEES FROM NOV ONWARDS.

The reason we are doing this at this stage is that we now know that for the clubs athletes to train using the old FSLT system – they would have to book and pay their place individually online each training session via FSLT website and also book their place through our system as we are doing at present.- we felt this would lead to widespread confusion and hassle. This system would likely to be in place for most of next year until COVID comes under control – so we felt it best that the club continued to pay for and run its own sessions – we feel that is the best way to provide a safe and secure environment for our athletes to enjoy their athletics and minimise hassle for both parents and volunteers at the club.

SO PLEASE DONT DELAY – CANCEL YOUR FSLT DIRECT DEBIT TONIGHT – TO AVOID DOUBLE PAYING.
