The reward for the DTF U13 girls excellent performances at the National Relay Championships qualifying was a place in the National final at the Emirates Stadium on the first night of the European Championships.

The quartet of Shayna Asamoah, Sarah Kane, Sophie Thomas and Aaliyah Adebisi stormed to a silver medal in the final finishing in second place just over a second behind the Giffnock North A team in an unconfirmed club record time of 1.57mins.

It was an outstanding performance from the girls especially since two of the team are first year U13s.
