Following from an earlier appeal for people to put themselves forward to replace our existing treasurer, appoint a vice president and for younger athlete’s parents to join the club committee for the coming year at the AGM on Wed .

We have NOT received a SINGLE offer of help to run the club. The club currently has nearly 150 athletes on its books yet we cannot find 3 or 4 parents to help fill these positions.

This may have implications on the running of the club to the detriment of the young athletes, therefore it is important some people step up to the plate.

Most of the current committee are staying on but it is essential that the club firstly fills the position of treasurer and secondly to enable some continuity that some parents of younger athletes join the committee and a vice president is appointed .

The club has made great strides in recent years but to continue this , we need the help of parents. If you think you can help please contact me on presidentdtfc@gmail.com

Failure to fill these positions may mean that some activities of the club may have to be curtailed to the disadvantage of our athletes – your sons and daughters.
