U15 & u20 Champs - More Gold !!

4 Feb 2019 by David steel

It was the turn of the U15 athletes in the National Indoor championships on Sunday.
Once again a sizable number of DTF athletes took part and another haul of medals came back to Dunfermline.
The day belonged to Rory Voss who firstly brought home a BRONZE medal in the 60m sprint breaking the club age group record with a time of 7.54s.
Rory then went on to smash the U15 record (and only 2cm out from the overall club record) with a jump of 5m99 to win GOLD in the U15 long jump.

The ladies were not to be out done however with Mya McMahon taking home bronze in the u15 with a jump of 1m48 in a high jump competition dominated by DTF athletes. Darcie Black & Maia Helm finished 4th & 5th on the same height of 1m48 but lost out on Countback.

There were a host of other great performances by DTF athletes with many PB’s and they were all a credit to the club and their coaches .
Well Done to everybody.

By my calculations from U13-U20 in the age group Championships DTF athletes have won the following
2 x Gold medals
1 x silver medal
6 x Bronze medals
Excellent effort from everybody and not bad at all for a club of our size – punching well above our weight !!
