The u13 lead the way in the National Indoor Championships with an impressive haul of medals.
Callum Newton brought home a brilliant GOLD medal in the U13 60m Hurdles with Brook Ferguson joining him on the podium with an impressive BRONZE medal.
Callum then went on to collect his second medal of the day with a SILVER medal in the u13 Long Jump.
Ellie Candlish was extremely unlucky in the girls high jump coming in 4th and missing out on a medal on countback with a jump of 1m38.
Shayna Asamoah also made the semis in both the 60m and 200m and missing out on a final place by 1 spot and few hundredths in each distance.
In the timed finals of the 800m David Cuthbert won his heat and came in 6th fastest overall.
A sizeable number of other DTF athletes took part and competed well throughout the day – well done all.

The u20’s were not to be outdone however with Ellen Ranklin taking home a BRONZE medal in the Shotput and Daisy Cumming (Racing an age group up from her usual U17) also taking a BRONZE medal in the 1500m. The club was well represented in this race with Lucy Johnston placing 6th and Minnie Brocklesby 7th . Well done to them also.
