National Indoor Open Report + Stirling

A number of DTFC athletes were busy over the weekend at the recent Scottish Athletics Indoor Open at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow and the Stirling Winter run.
At the Scottish Open there were over twenty PBs from the twelve athletes with some outstanding performances from them. In the 60m Rory Voss ran an amazing 7.8secs and he coupled that with a blistering 24.69secs in the 200m. Darcie Black was also very impressive in the 200m with 27.79secs and there were also PBs for Oliver Morrison , Kirstin Penman and Amy Jenkinson. In the 800m David Cuthbert took 2 secs off his PB and Maia Helm also netted a PB.
In the field the high jump Maia Helm put 7cm on her PB by clearing 1.52m and Rory Voss put 30cm on his long jump PB by jumping 5.59m.

Daisy Cumming competed for the East District Team at the Inter-district x country champs – she did extremely well coming in 14th place helping the U17 womens team to the gold medal.

The Stirling Winter run over 7km saw two DTFC athletes competing. Minnie Brocklesby continued her fine form clocking 35.46mins and finishing 92nd overall whilst 2nd in the female U19 category. Katie Lancaster finished just behind Minnie in 35.47mins and 3rd in the same category.

A busy but very fruitful weekend for all athletes.
